 MECHANIC

Job responsibilities include:

·         On site repairs as well as road calls

·         Tire management for entire fleet

·         Engine repairs

·         Steering systems

·         Heating and cooling

·         Line maintenance

·         Reading a daily VCR and addressing needs, prioritizing work to be completed

·         Ordering parts and organizing receipts and Purchase orders

·         Maintain inventory of tools and parts

·         Complete work orders and other reports as required

·         Performing road tests

·         Coordinating with outside vendors for some repairs

·         Maintain a regular preventative maintenance schedule for entire fleet

·         Air brake systems

·         Suspensions

·         Accurately complete DOT forms as required

·         Diagnostics

·         Repairs to containers, equipment as needed

·         Organize yard

·         Establish and enforce cleaning schedule for entire fleet

·         Frequent physical effort in lifting, pushing, pulling or handling tools and equipment

job requirements include:

·         Driver’s license

·         1 year of experience with refuse equipment repairs

·         Ability to lift 50 lbs

·         Ability to work on or under trucks, climb, reach, kneel , sit, walk, stand and bend for extended periods of time

·         Must pass DOT physical and drug screening

·         Welding experience (preferred)
